Bladeforums/Buck Knife: what happened?

I havent stopped by in a while,so im not too up to date.
If someone could fill me in i would appreciate it.
 
They are still thinknig about it as a bladeforums peice, but it is taking forever for them to decide. their is a post with more info back a little ways.

I would love to see the #500's models added to Pete's Custom Shop. That way I could order the Forum knife directly from PCKS.

ld like to purchase a few 503's and/or 501's as discussed.I would get them from Pete's. They don't necessarily have to be a Bladeforums deal.
 
I agree even if this doesn't come to fruition, I want to thank Joe for the hard work. Thank you Joe for trying to make this happen.:)

Whatever happened with this?

And for that matter, whatever happened with the rumor that Pete's Custom Shop was going to start offering something more than just the 110?
 
The Blade forums knife is still nowhere. :(
We were hoping to add a variation of it, and a few other models, to Pete's but the whole project has been pushed into next year.

Thanks for the information, Joe. I was pretty disheartened when I checked into Pete's Custom Shop, and still found only the 110.

I'm confident if/when additional knives are added, or the forum knife happens, they will be head and shoulders above the rest of the industry.
 
The subject of the Buck/Blade Forum knife must have started before I became a forum member. Would someone please provide us newer forum members the details of this special knife so that we can at least know what we are missing?
 
I did a search and Joe's final pronouncement on the knife was that it would be a model 501 with polished buffalo horn inlays, BG-42 steel and perhaps a lasered blade forums logo on one bolster. Also, there was the possibility of a soft leather pocket pouch.
Joe, if the blade forums logo won't fly, it doesn't matter to me. The knife would be cool!!
As has been stated, Buck builds and sells knives and there are a bunch of afficianados out here wanting to buy the knife. Sounds like a perfect match!!
 
Joe, I know this was originally put off until next year. Well this is now next year.:rolleyes: Has any progress been made on adding the Bladeforums Buck knife, or a variant to Pete's Custom Knife Shop?
I didn't want this subject to die. Am I the only one here who wants to see this knife made?
 
The closest thing I am going to be able to do are the 112 blade changeouts in BG-42. They wont happen through Pete's but Wilde Bill Cody and Efrin Reyes, (about a thousand years experience between the two) will be doing the work.
The BF knife just is not in the cards. :( :(
Believe me its frustrating on this end too!
