Typed in just bladeforums.com and then logged in.

Site would not log me in. Tried three times.

So I finally tried www.bladeforums.com, and I was already logged in (cookie).

I can't imagine a site mirroring BFC just to get password info, but I changed my password nevertheless.

Any clues what happened?

It's the same site, but ever since version 3.5, bladeforums.com doesn't accept www.bladeforums.com's cookies and vice versa.

The cookies have to explictly have the www in them to hold your login information etc.

But clicking on any thread from http://bladeforums.com where you are not logged in will automatically bring you to the correct forum where you are logged in, the http://www.bladeforums.com equivelant.
