I have the hot dog on my #53. Its okay....on such a big knife and scale.

With the white scales and the refined look of this SFO, its tasty rat-tail's and all, it would have added a bit of an etherreal look to the knife, I think would have been all round more aesthetically pleasing.

Maybe on the production version ay? ;)

(Thats if the centre pin will allow for a cloud to be accomodated mind)

The cloud shield would look great, but I don't think it will fit. I.e, too close to the pin and could cause cracking possibly. The "hot dog" shield looks fine on it though and I'm sure I'm going to like this one a lot.

I'm kind of wishing I'd ordered two.
Is it typical that GEC will now produce this pattern in its regular offerings? Can you imagine this one in ebony?

I love the shield. So clean and classy, like Fred Astaire in white tie.
I'm rambling now......

Man I wish I had been around to get in on the initial ordering of these. Fingers crossed for some standard production models!

That's one elegant looking knife. Don't hang me guys, but I'm thinking I may try to dye mine to get more of an "antique" paper micarta look, with warm parchment-like tones. And if I screw that up, I can always dye it black : ) I love this knife, but I'm just not a "white knife" kind of guy. Great job to all involved!

I was hoping to have enough saved up for one of these by the time they were available. But that's not happening.

That isn't really the hot dog shield.

I thought that when I posted. It's the dog right, not the one with the bun.

Anyhow, it's still a sterling effort. And I commend our fellow forumites who were involved in keeping this 2013 build going.
Nice work chaps! And GEC, you've made another good looker.
