So I'm a total newbie here - just found this website recently, and just joined less than a week ago... But in that time, I've blown way too many hours reading posts, chatted with a few incredibly friendly folks, and just bought my first custom (pre-owned) knife! (I became mildly obsessed with JK Custom Knives after reading the "Torture Test Passaround" thread, and have begun playing with designing my own knife...)

I figured that after that, I should make my first post to introduce myself, and say thanks to everyone out there who helps to make this such an interesting and friendly place!

As another newcomer to the forum, I know what you mean. I am a teacher on spring break and I think I have blown far too much of that precious time here! Although, I have enjoyed every minute. When I get interested in a new hobby it can consume me, and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about knives. I am just pleased with myself that I haven't already blown a year's salary on new toys. I'm sure it won't take long until that begins.

Indeed it is dangerous. I went from looking for a new knife to commissioning a custom in an evening. I have always been a knife enthusiast, but these forums are not helping.
