Well, I was using the search function for the 806 AFCK to see what we might have in the Knife Testing and Reviews section and my results were very interesting.
The first link I chose to click was at the bottom of the page from 2002: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192742&highlight=806+afck
There it's intersting because it seems that benchmade has just given birth to the axis lock (I believe courtesy of McHenry and Williams IIRC) and members are questioning whether to get a 710 or the 806D2 first as both are "new" to the knife world. A few posts down and a member who I've never seen or heard of before posts a link to a side by side review of the original liner lock version to the "new" axis locked AFCK.

It was a great read and I started forgetting when the posts were made (2002-ish). S30V was relatively new as well from the sounds of things. Another interesting aspect is that there are a lot of members who no longer visit, but there are some others that I didn't realize had been here so long when I recognized some usernames
Just thought I'd share, it was an interesting trip back in time to dig up an old review on my "new" knife
