For about 15 years now, I've shaved with a Gillette Sensor razor. I like it. It works very well for me. The problem is that I'm having troubles getting blades! I think Gillette must be trying to phase it out or something.

I finally found some today. I paid $13.65 at Target for a package of ten. That's not to bad until you realize that two of the ten are not Sensor blades but this new Tripple-bladed thing they're trying to push. I tried those when they came out. I don't like them. So, I paid $13.65 for eight blades.

There must be some place online that still sells Sensor blades.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm surprised that the Sensor cartridges are difficult to find- I still run across blades for my old Trac II now and again. A brief search shows a 15-pack for $17.39 at Amazon.com, which is at least cheaper than what Target charged. I usually just buy a couple packages whenever they're on sale at the local grocery superstore, but I don't shave very often, either.

PS- Congratulations on your upcoming 10,000th post!

How come you didn't like the Mach 3 blades?

Being a slob that works from home I usually shave about once, maybe twice per week. I dont necessarily think 3 is much better than 2 but I think there is a bigger space between the blades that lets you rinse out the crud that gathers there. I wouldn't go back to a 2 after using the 3 for a few years.

The Mach 3 head, and I tried one of ones that came in the package of Sensor blades I got just to remind myself, is physcially to large. It's hard to get under my nose, around my ears, etc. I also simply don't believe that gives a faster or better shave. The Sensor II is perfect.

Oh, and the eBay idea is great. I'm gonna snipe me 240 of those blades here in couple of days... a five year's supply! Some people stockpile canned goods... I stockpile razor blades. If the country disintegrates, I may die of hunger, but at least I'll meet St. Peter with a clean shave. You've gotta have your priorities. :D

I'm also a longtime sensor user. I usually stock up when they're available at Costco. Usually cheaper than Target.
