hello
my grandpa found these in a old friends of his trunk.they were pretty rusty but he cleaned them up.all he knows about them is that they were purchused in germany in 1960.
pictures
everything appears to be hand made.the wooden handle ones have brass inlays.both have full tangs and two have a lions head cap.blades 1/4 thick and the edge is not sharp (hasn't been sharpened since 1960 i belive)
any info on these would be great i juat want to see if there is any history along with these blades inpicticular(like who made them, when were they made could be a tough one )
thank you for any help

Hi Joel,
Welcome to the Cantina!

The two middle ones are khukuris. All four of them were probably made in India for sale to tourists. They make great decorations, but aren't meant to be used hard. They will look great on the wall. Enjoy them for that.

Welcome Joel.:D

I concur with Ferguson. The knives are apparently items made for the tourist industry. Still pretty though even if niot usable.

Welcom to the khukuri cantina Joel. pull up a chair, sit a spell and learn a bit about our favorite subject. Oh, and about khukuris too :D

Very pretty tooling on the leather scabbards. Tourist models for sure as everyone else said. If they are really 45 years old they are in great shape.

Regards,

Norm

Thank you for the fast replys. My typing and spelling is bad. I never take the time to check it. I know i should though :D . Does anyone know of a site with plans to make a unit to hold these on a wall?
