Blades.

I have been using pre-made blades to make some of my knives as I am just a beginner. I have noticed the same style of blade being offered through several different suppliers. Are these suppliers all getting their blades from the same people and if so how could i find out where so i can use my business to purchase from them instead of going through a distributer? I'm not sure how this works. Thanks.
