I’m counting down the days to Bladeshow like a 5 year old waiting for Christmas. Who’s your top 3 makers/tables that you’ll make it to first for this years BladeShow in Atlanta? Top 5 is ok if you can’t narrow it down!

Mine are subject to change

1. Oz Machine Company
2. Brown Knives
3. Koenig
4. All custom fixed blade tables!!!!!!

Also, any makers or knife models you’re excited about that will be released at the show?

Regardless of whether or not you buy a knife from them, I would definitely head to the tables of Ed Fowler, Bob Dozier, Tom Ploppert, RJ Martin and Javier Vogt.

All outstanding makers who are willing to talk with you and educate. Your trip will be well worth it. So much you can learn & appreciate from these men in person that you can’t fully appreciate through the internet.

Koenig will sell out each day, so if your seriously considering one of his, you better be quick.
I did the early bird last year and was able to score my one and only Arius, and it has been in my pocket every day since.

I bought the early bird pass this year. Any tips? How early are people lining up?

I was 1 hr before doors opened and was WAY back, as in up the hill and around the building.
I could easily suggest 2 hrs may be a norm with the fanatic's getting there at 0500.
When 10:00 hit, I would say it was 10:20 before I was inside and in the Koenig line, and 1100 before I was handing
over my cash... lol

They're probably going to be lining up late the evening before. Also, a bunch more people start to showing up at like six or seven.

I'm hoping to hit:

- Olamic Cutlery
- Brad Zinker's table
- Curtiss Knives

Then it's going to be time to wander over to all the smaller guys and little shop tables and see what gems I can find.
I definitely need to add Curtiss, been curious about his knives for a while.

I didn't get early bird this year and don't need any of super hot stuff. I want a USA custom folder in stainless san mai. Probably wont find any I like but I'll keep my eye out. Maybe timascus and cf. Dunno, I want something crazy over the top. Setting a goal for a specific knife seems like a recipe for dissapointment. Especially since I have a feeling this show is going to be even more packed then usual.

this will be my first event so I’m super excited. Is it usually cash only or are vendors now accepting electronic payments?

Cash is king. Cell service/Wi-Fi is notoriously bad at the venue, so vendors using cell based card swipe hardware is tough to do. The ATM on site has a $300 limit, and gets tapped out pretty quickly.

That's not to say that some vendors don't take credit cards/electronic payment, but cash is definitely the way to go.

According to Whitty on his Thursday night Instagram show, Curtiss Knives is not attending this year. Mr. Curtiss has a backlog of work, and is planning on staying home and trying to get caught up some.
