Lets Start with this Damascus and dyed tiger maple handle Jason Knight made for me to be delivered at blade

Jason never ceases to amaze! Thanks buddy....you knocked this one out of the park!!!! It is the sister of the beautiful stag bowie Jason made for our own Peter Gill which won"Best Bowie Blade 2012"

CONGRATS JASON!!

The superbly balanced 11.5 inch blade is shockingly light and fast in the hand,..it has wicked curves that look beautiful yet DANGEROUS!! like many of my Ex-Girlfriends lol

This is my second piece from Jason..his level of knife making is somewhere in the outer atmosphere!!

This was my other order from Lin that we planned right after last blade show. The only word that comes to mind when I saw it was "Outstanding!!"

This was the first time Lin had made a 8 inch blade (previous models have 10 inch blades) and damascus fittings for his subhilt.

The pattern of damascus is impeccable and the dark etch against the white ivory just pops!

Lin makes a subhilt like no other...really contours the handle into a pistol like grip...and the radius where your index finger is placed makes this knife fit your hand like a dream!!

IMHO Lin is really at the top of his game and this knife and the dagger he constucted for the CKCA mini show were real show stoppers!

Thanks so much for the extra effort on this masterpiece Lin!

This is going to be a flagship for Sam I think...there were 3 he brought to blade show and I was able to get my grubby mitts on this one! 5 inch blade with Maraging steel which is made from tank armor and a stunning piece of desert Ironwood!

Sam's knives went very quickly this year which was no surprise to anyone.

The hurak is a knife that will have a proud place in my collection...Merci Sam!!

Feels awesome in the hand...stout and full contoured handle, very comfortable! It is the pitbull of my collection :)

I look forward what this young talented knife maker from Belgium will be making next?

Sadly I am having major issue uploading the few pics that I took at blade show from my iphone. I will try to add some pics of the makers and I if I ever get them uploaded.

These pics were taken by my buddy and fellow forumite M67 who was kind enough to handle my knives after blade show.

All were taken with the same camera and natural sunlight. Lin had the subhilt shot by Chuck Ward which I will add later in the thread. I wanted to show these with simple shots first.

I will add to this thread as more pics are taken and love to hear comments.

The Rhea and Knight will be off to Paul Long for some leather work very soon. The Lurquin Hurak had a wonderful sheath made by Gustaff who makes all Sam's leather.

Regards hope you enjoy.

Jeff

Wow someone had a great show
While they are all beautiful knives...
the Knight is my favorite - love Jason's work!
I'll comment on the other two once the coffee is brewed...

Having seen and held all three of your knives, I know just how gorgeous they are.

Great show. Great meeting you.

P

Great additions Jeff. I also had the chance to see these all and you should be proud to own them all.

Congratulations, Jon

Quite a collection. I like that Lurquin a lot. Neat to see all three lined up like that with the progression in size. All 3 lethal looking.

Three winners in my books. Jason just flat out rocks when it comes to big fighters and bowies. His large blades are fast in the hand and wicked sharp. Mine bit me just looking at it. Links makes my personal favorite subhilt on planet earth - you've got a particularly sweet example in damacus and ivory. Sam's fighter design here is a home run IMO. Congrats - great choices!

Roger

Those three could quite possible keep you grinning for a lifetime...........

All outstanding pieces...the Rhea subhilts have got to be the most comfortable designs I've ever held in my life. Feels like they just become a part of my hand every time I pick one up.

The second we left the show, I had immediate remorse for not snagging that last Lurquin piece off his table. I had a great time hanging out with him and Fred despite the slight language barrier:) I don`t know exactly what he's got coming up next, but I do know that I can't wait to get started on the steel for this BEAST of a collaboration he and I are working up. He drew up a quick sketch on the table in about two minutes that looked awesome...that guy is one amazing artist!

Jeff it was good to meet you thanks for letting me handle that big best of a bowie from Jason it looks like you did very well and from the smile on your face I could tell that you where having a blast.

What a nice trio of knives,if I had to choose one it would be very hard, guess I would go for Lins piece that Damascus just does it for me.

Jeff, it was a pleasure meeting you and passing some cool knives around together at the show. You were telling me about Lin's sub-hilt, and I wish I could have seen it. It looks fantastic, and I'll bet I have a good idea on how it feels in hand. Lin knows how to walk the walk with these, for sure.

Thanks for posting up!

- Joe

Congrats Jeff, those are all gorgeous. I wish I'd have gotten to handle them, next time.

It was a real pleasure meeting you face to face.

Thanks for all the great comments guys very reassuring that Im not the only one who likes these knives lol
The people I meet at the show and on the forum, make my time spent at shows and the forums something extra special beyond the knives.

Many of you have been very helpful with helping me along the way. With info and knives out of some of your collections too! Lol

Mike, Dave and Matt I'm sure your comments also mean alot to Jason, Lin and Sam. To have such praise from your peers, wow!

congrats to Mike and Dave on your awards. Matt has a special piece coming my way very soon :)

Talent around here is just mind boggling. someday I hope to have pieces from all of you as well. Really look forward to knowing more about the colab piece mike ;)

I appreciate the feedback and welcomed place in this great community.

Jeff
