First of all thank you Anne, Bill and whole Chris Reeve Knives team, who’s taken care of me during my stay in Atlanta. In fact I’ve been one of CRK Team members during Blade Show, which of course was great feeling and sort of unexpected (but very nice of course) BladeShow adventure!

Chris Reeve booth… awesome place to visit during Blade:

I've been also honored to share the table during Blade Show Banquette with Anne, Bill, Tim, CRK team and two friends of Bill. Big part of Saturday evening belonged to Chris Reeve. Reggie Barker announces “Collector / Investor Knife Of The Year” winner:

And the winner is… Chris Reeve Knives and 21st Anniversary Sebenza! Chris himself has been in South Africa so Anne had the pleasure to take the award from Reggie’s hands:

Couple of minutes later Daniel Winkler announces “Manufacturing Quality Award” winner:

Well, no big surprise here for me… Annie was more than happy:

Later in The Pit… Anne, Tony Marfione (good friend of Anne and Chris from Microtech) and Chief Bronson (also Reeve’s friend) celebrating together:

And both awards together, along with the 21st Anniversary Sebenza:

That was great time...

And here first of my CRK-related scores of the show... kind-of "folding Green Beret" presented by knifemaker Bill Harsey himself:

H-Class - Bill's designs are big, bad, but still so natural. Thursday evening he's shown me his very very new model, in fact just the proto. This thing is BIG! Just imagine a folder with the same blade as... Chris Reeve Green Beret 5.5"! Yes, it's THE SAME size if not a bit bigger in fact! It's smoooooth as silk, titanium linerlock has the thickness more or less of Sebenza slab and has massive pivot (head of custom pivot screw is 3/4" diameter). It's sharp as hell, fit & finish just perfect. I've asked him if he could sell me that one, but he told me that he had all of his own prototypes and this one would be no exception. But you know... Bill is a great man and good friend. So two days after he asked me two questions: "Piter, do you really want it? And will it stay in YOUR hands?". Some of you know my answer already... So as Bill told me, it's the only proto of all his knives that he's given away to someone else. All other prototypes are in his own possession. On one side of the blade it's marked "William W. Harsey – Maker – Creswell, Oregon" and on the other side it's signed "Prototype, CPM S30V, June 1 2005" and Bill's signature. He'll make some of them (customs, not collaboration) and the name of the folder will be "H-Class". Also the last day I’ve bought a sheath for it. Kenny Rowe, originally designed for… handgun :D

Mnandi, exhibition grade - I’ve entered the BladeShow floor in the morning. But not just as guest but as a member of Chris Reeve Knives crew. Well, I almost feel like one anyway ;) So when I’ve found CRK both and said “hello” to everyone (hugs, laughs etc.) Anne gave me a white box. I knew that it’s going to be something special… and it was. Oh boy, IT WAS SPECIAL. Ultimate gentleman’s knife! Imagine Mnandi with stainless raindrop Damascus and bark mammoth ivory of exhibition grade. It’s taken Anne several months to find that piece of mammoth for my Mnandi. It’s very classy looking dark blue/green with bright gold wrinkles. Believe me or not, but you don’t see this kind of ivory very often. It’s simply perfect. Stunning. Breathtaking. Anne, your choice is simply the best I could dream of… thanks a lot to you and to Chris for making this finest piece of cutlery for me. It was well worth waiting a year and exceeded any of my expectations! Now I have my dress folder finally :D

Lucky Dog! Thanks for the pictures and show report, looks like a blast.

I am generally not a jealous kind of guy, but that post may change that. There is a little green eyed devil sitting on my shoulder telling me I should hate you!! Not really, but it was bad enough I couldn't make the show this year, and then you go and show that Harsey folder. OH MY!!

Glad you had such a great show Piter. Certainly made the price of a plane ticket seem like a bargain huh?

That is a very special time you spent with CRK and the gifts are awesome. What a nice experience. Thanks for sharing it.

Wow.

That folding Harsey is just freakin' badass, and the Mnandi is stunning. I want one of each .... :)

Thanks! Thanks a lot guys!

As for the Mnandi, I've been discussing a nice verison for me for over one year. But the knife that I've received last Friday is something, that exceeds even my most sophisticated expectations. Of course pictures can't really show what this piece really looks like... some may have seen id during the Blade as Anne used it as "demo knife" as well, just to show around what a Mnandi can be. Imagine that :D Ohhhh... I'm still so excited... shall I shut up now? Probably yes, but I cant... sorry :footinmou

Don't shut up Piter, with a weekend like you had I would be talking about it nonstop until my wife threatened to leave. :D

Just post more pictures.

Awesome Piter! - We need more pictures of that folding green beret ;)

Ted

The Harsey is awesome.

But the Mnandi -- I can't seem to get my jaw off the floor.

Great pictorial display too Piter  :D

Hey genius!! If you'll notice the question was: "Hey P, do you have any other pics of Mnandis that were for sell??". As in, pics of Mnandis that were for sell (that were in the CRK display booth) not are for sell (as in pics that are for sell). Why the heck would I want to do something so lame?? I think my use of the English language was appropriate maybe you need to work on your comprehension. What do you think genius? I guess it's time for me to do an eye roll.

Dang... need to go to blade show next year!!! :D

Looks like you got out a winner!
