How does this look guys....Took a couple of discarded wire deer yard ornaments and some coat hangers and made me a yard decoration with a actual working arm to set out in front of the shop with the other lights and stuff for the holidays.

He has a forge filled with red lights and a few yellow and orange bulbs for color....his anvil is a piece of 1 1/2 inch square tubing with a small piece of steel as a base....His hammer and hammer arm are made from coat hangers to keep the weight down enough for the old motor from the deers head to work it.And he does have a actual forged blade black in the other hand.

Just wanted to show him off and see what you guys thought,Donna and the girls like him:D Anybody else have any Blacksmith ornaments in the yard?

Now back to knifemaking.....

That's pretty neat, Bruce! Cool creativity.

Dang! That's awsome! Ever think about merchandizing them? I take it your feeling better?

Merry Xmas

That's the ultimate! Wish I thought of that.

A little FX smoke coming out of the forge would put it over the top!

OH!!! BOY!!!! Tis the Season:confused:  Looks cool
Hope you feel better Bro. Thanks for the call and I'll call you back next week.;)

Thanks everybody...Glad you all like it.Since I used old junk parts to make him I am not sure if I could get the motors to make anymore. If there is a rash of yard ornaments being kidnapped I will know you guys did it:D :D ....

He wasnt that hard to make once I figured out how much weight the motor would hold for the arm. Smoke machine, that would be cool along with a sound system with the hammer ringing off the anvil,That would be getting more high tech than I am able to figure now,but a really cool idea...

Will,Yep I am doing better, now it is just getting these darned hormones figured out,the doc had me back up to the level I was at when I first went into the doc,had one adjustment to the meds so far, cant wait till he gets me stabilized out...I am ready to become me again and work like I used to.

Glad to hear it Bruce, and to see you back up and working. Now if you could add a red light on the anvil that would flash in time with the hammer beat that and the smoke would realy put it over the top!:D

Terrific idea Bruce! Your body may be ailing a bit, but that mind of yours is still strong. Maybe you should ask Donna to stand out in the yard each evening and be Rudolph's striker! I'm glad to see you having some fun with your work, it helps to have a good sense of humor to.
