bladestock differences between SAK soldiers and others

I only have 7 vic & wengers but Ive noticed that my vic soldiers, pioneer, and farmer have thicker main blades than my vic compact and wenger handiman.
just wondered if there was a name for the thicker bladed ones compared to the thinner bladed ones.........?

The 93mm alox models are from the "Sturdy" line IIRC (Wenger Standard Issue has almost the same blade).
