This knife is for a blanket prize for the group of guys I shoot muzzleloader with (Laurel Highland Mountain Men). It's my first tapered tang knife that I have made. I was after a simple utility/ hunting knife. The knife balances very well and feels good in the hand. I like tapered tangs now!!

Specs:

9" o.a.l.
5" blade of 1095 hardened to 60Rc. is hand finished to 800 grit
The blade is .135 at the ricassa with thumb jimping, and tapers to .030
the handle is Mahogany with a hand rubbed tung oil finish with 2, 3/16" copper pins, and a .400 dia. brass tube
The sheath is 8/9oz. leather hand stitched, and tooled.

I nice piece; someone will enjoy putting this on their hip. The sheath stamping is a nice touch.

Smart, classy design, well-executed. Same goes for your maker's mark and the sheath. Touchdown!

Tapered tangs are addicitive. :D
