Blast from the past...ID help please

Based on the bag, I must have picked these up 15 years or so ago...but can't say that I've seen another cap with a skull crusher like this. The black finish is interesting as well. So, what do I have?

Really cool piece. I am interested to get some history behind it also. I have never seen a pointy one like that before.
 
I know we have a few other OPK experts that would know a lot about this, I just cannot think of their BladeForum names.
 
It's aftermarket to the best of my knowledge. I have never seen a CRK skull crusher cap. There is a gentleman that makes these and you see them on the Buckmaster 184 survival knife. Good chance he made some to fit a CRK as well. I have seen colored caps and I have the one offered by TAD Gear many years ago with the whistle machined into the cap.
 
That makes sense...the checkering doesn't look like CRK's work. Thanks for the info.
