Blast from the Past

Awesome!! I sincerely hope you find some more pics of balisongs that you feel compelled to share with us. I wonder what number that blade is..

Chuck will know how many Allen made...cause he has one. :) Send him email and I'm sure he knows how many Elishewietz made. I don't have one -arrrrrghhhh-...so I don't have a clue??

It's funny really...I see Allen all the time at shows and only talk to him about watches because I don't like his folders...., -go figure-???? He's a "Watch-Nut" too... :)...and I actually expect him to become a watchmaker at some point!

I knew that there were 17 of them made, I was just wondering what specific number that one was. I have a pic of a 5" Elishewitz latchless Bali-Song that someone has, I wonder what number that one is as well.

Oh yeah, I have another pic that has a 5" elishewitz tanto that has 2 sets of inserts in each handle.

Off-topic: Just how many "Watch Nuts" are there in this group.

Wow this is great; first I find out there are bassplayers here than i find out that there are watch nuts! I happen to be coocoo about swiss manufacturs and especially love breitlings. As you can see I will soon have a ton of cool crap and live in a cardboard box.

Oh yes!!! Wow what a watch Hogman!! I don't have one because I spend too much $$$ on these darn Balisongs  .., but I keep promising myself...maybe one day?

There are other bassists here? :D I had no idea! That's great...of course, I've been playing less than a year...so my skill leaves something to be desired...I'm working on that, in all my free time. And my band broke up this summer, but I'm working on that too...

Im a watch nut:D Im wearing my Super Ocean right now... Love those Breitlings

I have a breitling "wings" but I hope to get a few more when I win the lottery.:p

"one"? No. Four. And mine all have insert handles. The most famous being the one with snakewood inserts. The most mysterious being two that are part of a set of four of the final edition customs that have shown the blades for but never the handles since they have a unique design that I designed myself and don't want copied.

The blade of the new Model 47 is very similar to this tanto design.

The Elishewitz #11, that I'm lucky enough to own, had seen action in Bosnia and had been manipulated over time. I contacted BM and I was informed that it would take the better part of a year before they could even take a look at it. I contacted Allen, sent him the knife, and he had it like new and back to me in a week! I really appreciated the extrodinary service and who better to touch it up! It's too bad he has parted company with BM and I wish him and BM the best in the future.
