Every once in a while, I like to do something a little different. Because I don't advertise, or do many shows, many of you haven't seen any older Lovetts. Here is a Full Integral I built back in the late 80's. She's 1/4" Stock, inlaid with 18k Gold, and two 1/4 ct. Diamonds. All carved by hand. No milling what so ever. So what do ya think? Mike

Mike, I think that's an amazing piece. Not exactly what I would expect coming out of your shop. If someone else had posted that knife and started a "Guess Who Made This?" thread, it would take quite a while until someone brought up your name. That's why it's great having an outlet like BFC to show of work (new or old).

Thanks for sharing.

Mike that is a great blade.......and a great photo considering the time frame.....keep-em comin...Bj

Very nice blade Mike......however, I must say that if you did that all by hand with no milling, then you must have been somewhat of a masochist back in the late '80's:D lol:thumbup:

Haa! Like most Knife Makers out there, Just too dam poor to afford decent equipment. The photo is by Jim Weyer. He preformed magic with a camera. Mike

Mike,
That is a great looking Integral.
Nice carving.
Have you jeweled others?

You do great work.As we all know. :D
Thanks for posting. Great pic.

Doug

What do i think Mike, i like it very much, looks like it came from the 1850's, clean and mean with a nice thumb spot for better control and a killer Pommel.

Did you make a sheath for it?

James

Thanks you so much every one. Wish I had time to make this kind of Knife. I'm SWAMPED!!! But thats a good thing. Hi James, it came in a fitted Fancy Walnut case. Mike
