Blast from the past

I just bought 4 very politically incorrect vintage Cold Steel knives! The only pics I could find were on Don Rearic's site. I'm getting 2 Urban Pals with wallet type sheaths and 2 Urban Shivs with clip on boot sheaths.

Everytime I tried knives like the Urban Shivs, some individual would confuse them for throwing knives.

I bet the Urban Shiv could be thrown easily. I've thrown CRKT 3.5" Corkum 1st Strike before with some success.

I find they lack the length and mass I prefer for a throwing knife.

Admittedly, I'm not anywhere near proficient in the art of knife throwing, though. But neither were the people throwing my knives .
