So I got a new Leatherman MUT about a year ago and loved the thing. I shoot quite a bit (especially AR-type rifles) and actually use most of the tools on the MT. They are finely crafted and durable, love the blade and the saw. However about a week or two ago I was "baby-proofing" our loft and the handle that houses the blade/saw lost tension so that when I tried to open the pliers the handle would simply close (like I was trying to close the tool). I thought "Ok quick fix w/ a torx wrench"... well I tightened up to to liking and sure enough the handle was able to open the pliers w/o closing. It wasn't until a day or so later when I tried using the blade that I realized the same torx screw also tightens the tools so the blade or saw was either able to budge. I've tried to fine-tune it to get it just right but there's no "happy medium"... its either so tight I can't get the tools out or so loose the pliers can't be extended w/o closing the tool. Now I'm sure the company would fix this no questions asked, but was wondering if this is a problem anyone else is having w/ their leathermans and/or muts???
Oh yeah watched some Shot Show '12 footage of a new leatherman that has the "flip" feature much like the old gerber diesels... might have to pick that one up.
