blasted tex on G10 and micarta?

How does one achieve the texture that I see on a lot of G10 and linen/canvas micarta? It appears to be blasted to bring out the texture of the fabric. What amount of equipment is needed and what media works? Any tutorials? I see about a million types of media avail, some are beads and some abrasives?

It's either bead blasted with glass or ceamic beads or sandblasted. You'll need a compressor and either a sand blaster hopper with gun or a bead blast cabinet. Unless you're gonna be doing alot of it,you'd be better off finding someone local to do it for you. Shouldn't cost much.
