Head cold, not the cold outside. Although it's pretty cool out today. It was 8 this AM. I think it might get to 20-something today. That's cold this season. We've had 50's in December pretty frequently.

AAAAAANYWHO. . . .

Man. I caught an early one this year. And hard. This is day 6. SIX!

First day wasn't bad. But I knew it was coming. That achy feeling in your nose. And actually, Saturday started OK. But I did a lot of household clean-up-Christmas chores and it wiped me out.

Sunday - Day 3 - in the recliner when not in bed. All day.

Monday - thank goodness for observed holidays. Got up late. Finished Saturday's chores. Got exhausted and sat around the rest of the day.

Tuesday - actually felt well enough to go to work. Didn't do a lot. But it's billing. Brain was mostly functional.

Today - Whew. Brain took a step backwards. My head is clearing. Most physical signs of this thing are gone. Whole-body swelling is down to where I can put my belt to the normal hole and my wedding ring isn't cutting off circulation. But I can't think to save my life.

All this talk of NYE stuff - I never even made it. Was in bed at 10pm. First time in YEARS. (Most Saturday's I'm up to midnight or later - just doing stuff or watching TV.) Boy did I miss enjoying a nice beverage and a cigar.

I'd love to get back to normal. Just have a day where I can taste food and walk around without being winded. Whew.

You know what would make me feel better???? A shipping notice on my B4's.

You know you can hook me up, Amy. ;)

Hope you get better, Dennis.
I am in the same exact situation. Started feeling in Saturday, woke up with the full-blown, tear-inducing sneezing Sunday... and I'm still feeling it.

And... it's OK, man... I went to bed at 10:30 on New Year's Eve, and it's not the first time  ;)

Hope you feel better! We had it going around the shop, were all finally starting to feel a little better. Dayquil saved me!

Thanks for giving me your left over medicine by the way!

Dennis, this is making the rounds here in Jersey. I've been sick since Xmas Eve. Starts with sore throat, cough, nasal, then into sinuses and head. Cold usually on way out in 7 days, I'm on day 10 and feeling only a little better each day.
Seems like this strain is making the rounds around here. Hope you fell better! Tom C.

Oh yeah. The sneezing and eye-closing itchiness. It was baaaad.

This is the FIRST day I've felt. . . good. Each day I've had my ups and downs. But this is day-1 of feeling normal. Maybe by tomorrow I will have my sense of taste back to normal. Wife made stew last night - tasted like plastic. Bleeech!
