I was just wondering if I was being too picky, but I bought a Kershaw Blur blem and there is a knick on the blade. Should I exchange it for another one or will normal wear eventually cause this to happen anyways?

Thanks

Looks like it'd sharpen out with little effort, and it's a blem so unless you're some odd collector of Kershaw Blems, I'm guessing you were going to be using so if it were me, I'd use it and assume I would have done something similar eventually. To me, it's one less thing I have to worry about since the hardest part for me when getting a new knife is putting the first mark on it. After it gets its first mark then I am a lot less reluctant about using it. Enjoy your knife and use it, that's what it was made for!

From what I can see in the pics I would just sharpen it out. 5-10 minutes vs 2-3 days for an exchange wouldnt be worth it to me. You will have to sharpen it anyway with use, especially if you intend for it to be a user and not a collector.

Congrats on the Blur by the way. Its a really fun knife to use!

It is a blem. It will sharpen out. If that is the only blemish consider yourself lucky, in that you got a blem that will disappear from normal use and sharpening.

It's a blem... of course it can have nicks on the blade.
Sharpen it out, probably 5-10 minutes.

My 0561 blem, only problem I could find was an uneven bevel on the edge... Sharpened it right out no problem.

It looks like you might have found the blemish. As others have said use it and when it gets dull sharpen it out.
