First time posting have a question is their a est. time when blems and deals of day posted I am on central time
 
I am on central as well and generally they can happen any time at all -- seen them go up at 10 pm and 9 am, and all times between. I know that one shark gets an smart phone alert when auntie posts, you can always rig up something like that.

that being said, generally just before lunch, just after lunch or just around the mid evening 5 or 6 pm seem to be common placements.
 
JamesO, Sadly, you know the old addage: It takes one to know one? Shark? That, kind sir, describes Brother Gehazi to a T. If you can beat him to a DOTD, good luck!
 
lol ! yeah I am one of the worst, but you will be happy to know I have already bought everything HI makes, only worry if you see something you have never seen before! HI really runs off its DOTD for me- I cannot remember the last time I asked for a particular knife-- there is something cool and fun about waiting for the posts then seeing who gets what.

then the inevitable picture thread to follow ! just promise to post anything you get
 
For the record I think smart phone alerts is CHEATING. But in the immortal words of Clint Smith at Thunder Ranch, always cheat, always win.

Auntie has really been mixing up the DOTD times of late. Evenings, early mornings, weekends? I think it keeps it fair, but last night's deal?? well I'm still all choked up. I would have been in sooooo much trouble had I seen that one.

As it is I gotta wear a neckerchief like Clint Eastwood from now on.

I also think it is very fair, or rather superfantastic! The more the merrier, or better. DOTD's for everyone!

Well said.

I can't casually admit I'm the worst, simply cause I'm not. But I can say that after seeing too many good deals going literally in seconds, I turned on the technology to even my odds a little. Nature does it well. Most of us have limited resources and only two kidneys. So even with "unfair" alerting systems, there is only so much a normal one can spend.

Cheating is a strong word. Anyway, I have been clean sharking for a while now (one DOTD at a time, like the AA says). I now rely more on the limited resource factor and Auntie generosity to post awesome deals at a paste even the dirty fastest sharks can't spend. I wish I had it on for the Bamboo cutter though and I praise the lord I was there at the right time and the right moment. This one HAD to be mine :-)
