This is going to be fairly long, but there is good information if your seriously looking into a ground blind.
If you are looking for an Excellent top of the line ground blind, I would go with a double bull, they are now under the Primos name, but same warranty (lifetime), except the poles, the fiberglass poles if broken on a double bull will require you to pay shipping but the poles are "free", you can also "upgrade" all (20) the poles to carbon fiber to lighten your load, but this will cost you extra, i think right around 60 bucks (could be wrong on this price), the blind will come with fiberglass poles, other than that the blind is covered under the warranty. I have both the matrix 360 and the dark horse, I prefer the dark horse, because it is easier for you to see something behind you, the matrix is nice if you don't plan on looking behind you.
They will cost you a pretty penny though, they run about 400 bucks, although cabelas did have the dark horse on sale for 250 but it was back ordered, so if you can wait, id jump on it, if its still available at that price, if not see what you can do.
The escape deluxe is probably the tallest ground blind, although it does have the triangle style windows, and they are rather hard to shoot out of with a bow. also the material on the ameristep and primos blinds is sub par when compared to the double bull blinds.
After hunting out of a buddies escape, with the triangle window system, I would not buy one of these, if you are gun hunting they are awesome, but not for bow hunting. the predator den, some ameristeps, and both escapes have this system, as does the eclipse (I believe)
Also if you live in a place that gets lots of snow, do not leave your blind out side all year long, the weight of the snow WILL break your rods, on the roof.
If you didnt want to go with a double bull, id go with the vision blind from primos, very good blind, and has 360 shooting/viewing, it will run you about 220, on sale about 200.
As far as chairs go, it will cost you about $45, but the QS3 magnum tristool from primos/double bull, is the best chair on the market for long sits.
Trust me on this one, especially if you are of bigger stature, all of the other chairs around 20 or 30 dollars will make your family jewls go numb after long sits in the blind.
becarefull though because double bull makes two chairs, and that one is no better than any of the others, make sure it is the QS3 magnum.
Also if you have to pack your stuff in and out, invest in a pack that carry's the blind and one or two chairs, again youll have to trust me here, but it will pay off big time. Primos makes one for around 20 bucks and its O.K. then there is another, that has a hog in the picture of their logo and i forget what it is but its a good pack (i dont own one, a buddy does, and it is awesome, costs about 67 dollars) and then there is the wild thing pack made for the double bull blinds, and it costs about as much as the blind, but is also a very good blind pack.
Also if hunting turkeys, there is no need to brush in (add cover) to your blind, however if deer hunting and you cannot leave it at your spot (weather permitting) then brush it in really good.
I have found shooting fixed blade (some people call em, razer edges) broadheads through the mesh is no problem, regardless of brand. Shooting expandables is hit and miss, most "L" shaped expandables are a no go, the Rages will fly through the mesh.
There is nothing like having a deer 20 yards or closer from your ground blind and you can see there eyes at ground level!!!
Hope this helps you in your decision. I love to hunt, been bow hunting and muzzle loading for about 6 years now, and hunting all together for about well my whole life, if you consider being a bird dog for uncles, and my brother. I started ground blind hunting because I was in college and didn't have time to hang stands, so my brother and cousins would go out, and i would look up and say "how the heck did they get up there?!?!) also found a blind to be more enjoyable.
Good luck!
