I bought this little knife about a year ago from ole Ranger Joe.I have built many fires, improvised gear, and beat it up pretty good.
The blade is about 3 3/8", the handle is 4 3/8". The size of the blade lends itself to doing many camp and cooking chores.
The knife is 1/8" carbon steel. It gets very sharp, but I found it needs touching up often to keep a good edge.
I had to wrap waxed sewing thread around the handle. I had a little problem with the handle being to slick. This also helped with sheath retention since it fell out when I was deer hunting.
It held up fine for battoning. You aren't going to blast this knife through logs. But, it is plenty big enough for fire prep.
It worked great for fine cutting tasks and projects.
All in all I really like this knife. I would like to see the micarta handle bead blasted to make it "gripy". Other than that this is a great knife and I will be holding on to it.
