Just picked this up for what I think is a good price of $80 for the knife and two sheaths. Kind of banged up, probably from the kydex, but I wasn't looking for a show piece, this will get used. Question, though, what's the best way to clean up the blade?

If you don't want to send it out sand paper is a decent remedy. If you're going to use it I personally would just use it unless it's more like an EDC thing where using it and looking at it are kind of hand-in-hand. I don't know that I have a single fixed blade I've used in the woods or anything I would consider medium use that looks good; though I think a well used knife is a good look TBH.

Also, that was a nice score. I like your taste.

Not banged up at all. Just a few minor cosmetic issues, probably from being used as intended. Why waste the time and expense of sending it in for refurbishing? It will look pretty much the same soon if you intend to use it at all anyhow.

Sitting down this afternoon in between chores, I started cleaning it up myself with some very fine grit sandpaper. I'm pretty sure I can get it looking respectable. It will be a work knife, so it doesn't need to be pristine, but I don't want it looking like it's not taken care of. I always take care of my tools. Thanks for all the recommendations and support.
