Dear Sir's please could somebody help me,I have the opportunity to buy an 110 titanium hunter for £48.95.Having never had a 110 some help would be very helpfull many thanks Blindref:confused:

blindref - actually a 110 Titanium would be called the 560 and is one great knife - check for 560 in this forum and you will find only good posts about it - its discontinued though as far as I know. I do own one and won´t sell it.

I think MSRP was around 80 to 90 USD so your 49 pounds are quite OK - taking normal european mark-ups into account its even very good - german websites offer it for approx. 100€.

You need to be more specific as to what you need as far as help goes - the 110 is just THE all time classic knife and probably the most sold and copied knife on the planet -the "Titanium 110" or 560 for me is a fine alteration of the original theme making the knife much lighter and slimmer while keeping all the good things in place.

There was a nice mod of the 560 created on this forum so-to-say in having Buck knives swap the blade to a BG-42 steel one and BF member Buzzbait created the name "Buckbenza" for it as the Titanium and BG42 reminded him of another knife :D - do a search here on 110 and 560 and Buckbenza and keep food and drinks close by for the next 48 hours

I'm a big fan of this knife. I've ended up with three of them. I sent one in for the bg42 blade upgrade, one came in a trade with the ionfusion blade, and one is just in the box for "later". I also recommend you find the little add-on called the "one arm bandit" to make the knife a one handed opener.

I sure would like to see a pocket clip on them though. If I'm not mistaken the first run had pocket clips? Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Dennis,

I think this is way old - this was the "186" I think which was available in grey and black, had a quite bulky clip and had an allen wrench to dis-assemble the knife. Buck stopped this as they got too many "knive-kits" back for repair.

Then came the 560 Ti - a silvery looking beauty which was available until like 99? when the fab supplying the Ti handles burned down. Then came the champagne/gold tone colored 560 Ti XLT which was the one sold until recently. It seems the gold/champagne color originally was an accident which had everyone pleased and so it stayed.

I might have missed some details though and I agree that a clip would be sweet on those - but as they are discontinued anyway I doubt we´ll ever see one :(

Jim,

I thought it was the first Ti version - the 186 as I posted - not the 560 which was available in either grey or black - thx for clarificaiton.
