Hello- this is my first post to the SOG forum. I just got a blink- I love the flat profile, relatively deep pocket position, and the fun of the opening assist (I have owned several kershaw speed-safes). I found something with mine, maybe other blink owners can confirm if the following is normal.
When the knife is closed, and the safety latch is disengaged, a press on the lock bar will cause the blade to open slightly. If you push on the lock enough, the assist will take over and open the blade. Does this happen on all of them?
I wonder if this crosses the fine line that all assisted openers ride, where in this case the lock bar could be considered an opening device in the handle. Opinions?
