Just recieved the C81GPCMOBK PARA 2. If it's possible the fit and finish and action on these is even nicer than the S90V Para's. In love with this knife-I don't usually pick up any blades that are coated. This one is the exception.

Thanks alot Spyderco and Jim Howe who's got the best customer service around!

This is not against you skwurll. Still, awesome knife but I still don't get it why some people have to start a new thread when they get a new knife. Just post your pics or whatever in an existing thread. Or is this common for bf?

I wanted to specifically thank Jim Howe and Howes Knife shop because his standards of doing business and his customer service are uncommonly high.

Otherwise yes it would have gone in the Spyderco pics only thread

no worries shawn ray, i don't take offense to anything in a forum:thumbup:

Mind your own beez wax son! ( I'm probably half your age, blame it on the heine)
Stick around for a bit longer and you will learn not to interrupt. I did the same thing when I joined 4 years ago and will do the same now. We get excited and want to give the new toy some extra exposure. Although it does seem redundant, lol. So, yes it is common.
You are only allowed to do so as a paying member, so go sign up*;)

skwurll,

that is one sweet blade.......... I'm closely looking into one of these, how does it ride in the pocket?? I've been carrying my sage around and its a little wide (from top of blade to back of scales) not a complaint I love the knife.. though sometimes my hand rubs against it while going into the pocket for something.. the para military seems a little thinner in overall width..

nice knife.

I was going to preorder that one, but have gone the route of another version .. kinda rueful now looking at that one :) Nice knife

That is a great color combo. Semi related question, how is the closed detent on the knife? I had a Superleaf, but the detent was too weak for my liking. If the Para II has a strong detent, I think this combo might be my next purchase. :D

Thanks for the pic. Mine should be at my door in a day or two. Agree with your opnion on Howe's. They have great customer service.

The Para 2 has a very strong detent. Imo, there is no way it is going to open by itself by accident once it has been completely closed. While the knife has a strong detent once closed, it does not "self close" the way a lock back does.

I usually carry a standard SnG which I think rides a little bulkier. I think this newer Para 2 is a perfect size for pocket carry. I don't like pocketing big knives or even anything bigger than the Para2. I would say IMO the Para2 is the perfect EDC.

Easily opened- but I don't think it would ever deploy on it's own under normal circumstances. The detent has a good amount of resistance.

sweet pics. I might have to pick up one of those. for some reason I really like the black coating on para 2s

Awesome P2 bro! I'd have to agree with ya, Howe's has the best customer service around. As soon as they get some more in stock I'm grabbing two, one for each hand! :)

Wow, i really like this!
Thinking of getting this or the regular para2.
Any suggestions? (i know it can be personal preference, but idk)
