Blocky thing has gone too far...

I have sat the fence on the blocky, quasi-stealth fighter looking thing that seems to have become popular these days.... But man, this thing has to just flat suck in the hand. I know not a custom of handmade Knife so a bit off topic. But geez I hope basic ergonomic design comes back into fashion soon. Don't know about you guys, but I can't find a single straight line or hard edge on any part of my hand...

That's really what I don't get. I know back in the 90's, when we went to the gulf the first time, the F117 was the cool new thing. Everyone wanted something shaped like that. I've seen some designs that work ok with a blocky motif, but for the most part it just looks like pandering for 'cool points' from the same crowd that likes the neon green and red anodized handled 'zombie slayer' blades from China. CAD/CAM pieces with tooling marks and such. Buh.

And yeah, the patents. Like anyone in their right mind would even want to copy that thing.... Lol.

Man I miss a nice flowing piece that looks like the hips and thighs of a lovely female, and rests in the hand just a nicely. [emoji12]

I'll give credit where credit is due. This month's Blade cover piece is a blocky straight lined affair, but with great execution and looks like it would actually work fairly well, but man, drag out and dust off your French Curves guys! (and personally not a fan of Damasteel either. But to each their own...)

Cheers.

It certainly is block head design !!Next thing will be three paragraphs of warnings in the Ruger style !

Yeah, but the knife on he cover of Blade is made by Gus Cecchini. BIG difference. So yeah, it is damn well executed and highly functional. ;)

I would take anything, blocky or not, when it is executed that well with proper materials etc... I have had that blade mag out on the coffee table all week, and all it makes me think is 'why can't the average Joe see the difference between this and the flea market ChinCom stuff?'
Of course the same stands true at all levels of the game...

Cheers. Glad I'm not the only one who sees sex appeal in a nice curve here and there. I prefer a Marilyn to a Twiggy.
