Im a bit of an ADD case, and one of the ways Ive found helpful for staying organized and on task is to create daily checklists of things I need to accomplish. I used to use random pieces of printer paper for this, but a few years ago I came across a much more elegant solution while shopping at the New York Museum of Modern Art gift shop. That solution, and the subject of this review, is the Blomus Notepaper Roll Holder.

Ive had mine for over 4 years now, and I use it at least once a week and lately, once a day. It sits on my desk, next to my computer, and whenever I need to jot down a quick note, its right there.

What makes this design so brilliant is that it uses 150 rolls of calculator paper. If you averaged 4 of notes per day, one roll should last you 450 days.

At 2.25 wide, this paper is ideal for making quick to do lists. However, what makes it so handy is that when you want to tear up the note and start a fresh one, or put a grocery list in your pocket, the Blomus Notepaper Roll Holder has a built in tear strip at the base, which allows you to tear off the precise amount of paper you need.

This feature is very handy for me, because as a knife nerd since the age of 4, I never learned how to tear paper neatly free hand. However, with the Blomus, I can just rip off some paper one handed, with a perfectly clean tear line.
Aside from the simple convenience, the Blomus Notepaper Holder is simply a beautifully designed instrument, the perfect blend of function and form. The penholder works when the notepad is on a desk, but it is also deep enough that it can hold a pen when held in the vertical position. This is very important, because the Blomus Notepaper Holder has two screw holes in the back, which allows it be mounted next to the fridge for making grocery lists.

So far, in 4 years, my only complaint is that I managed to knock off one of the rubber feat at the base of the unit. However, by super gluing a stack of 4 dimes to the bottom, it was functionally as good as new.

Overall, theres not really much more I can say about the Blomus Notepaper Roll Holder. If youre the list making type, it speaks for itself. And my cat likes it.

The Blomus Notepaper Roll Holder is imported from Germany, and can be purchased on Amazon, for less than $25 shipped as of this writing. :toxic:
