Used my SAK to slaughter a lamb and now it's stained with dried blood and the scales went from shiny red to a glossy/matte color. What can I use to clean the scales, I've tried hydrogen peroxide but it only really worked on the blade. The scales are the standard red plastic ones.

I like liquid Dawn with bleach,,, mixture with warm water use an old toothbrush to scrub.
Rinse with cold water.

The above advice is good. Just remember that don't make the water too hot or you will warp the scales:) Perhaps you need to get a good fixed blade for tasks like that in the future...
