Was chatting with a new friend and he was saying that guns and knives cut and kill people. :D

Yeah, yeah, he agreed operator error.

But got me to thinking and wondering if any of you have NOT ever been cut or nicked by one of your Bucks.

My latest was just a tiny nick when I was removing the hump off the new 426BO. Didn't bleed long :D

Not like the back of the hand that needed 8 stitches. (my worse) :grumpy:

Just haven't seen a bloody thread in a while.. :D

This is a good reminder that we should all remember to take pictures when we get cut.

Try to stop the bleeding? No. Grab that camera!

:D

Important to discern if it's spurting or just flowing, though.

Sometimes pictures are just not an option no matter how much we'd like to document the event.

:D

Many years ago I was cutting a cable tie with my old 110 and just as I put the edge to the tie and gave it a tug I just knew I was making a mistake with the position of my off hand. Yep, got it good. Another time I was in ServMart (where we did our supply runs for the ship during my Navy days) and flipped out that same Buck 110 to open a case of log books. Just as I went to close it, (one handed) I cut my finger to the bone. Finished my shopping with a handkerchief wrapped around it until I could get back to the ship and sick bay. Maybe it's a good thing I haven't been able to find that 110 for a few years? Now that I think about it we never really get along all that well.

You obviously need to send me that cranky old 110 and let me protect you from it. :D

I carried a Solitaire 180 for close to 15 years. Much blood lost to that blade.
While watching the "Count of Monte Cristo" at my in-laws I cut to the bone on my left index finger.
My loving father-in-law offered: "you'd better not get any damn blood on my carpets."
Bleed like a stuck hog but I put a pressure bandage on it and now have the faintest of scars.

was using tip of a newer stockman cant recall the model number to drill a hole in a piece of bamboo(stupid i know) and it shut on my finger

Where do I begin? I have cut, biked, slashed gouged, stabbed and fileted myself more times than I would like to admit. If you play with knives you'll get cut. Without a sought.

I did that too. The only difference is that I used a German folder with
an extremly sharp Solingen blade. That was the last time I used folder
without a lock

Best,

This is why I use lock blades, been cut too many times by sloppiest closing. We won't discuss the time I cut the "bird" finger cleaning the blade of an Omni Hunter after sharpening it. Maybe that's why I sold it to my dispatcher.:D:D

I was fixing a fishing rod with my first Buck 110, the knife was a lot sharper than I thought, and it slid right through the material and into my finger = 6 stitches.

I was using one of Buck's cheaper liner locks, (still USA Made) to tie my fishing line on, I slipped and cut myself, I bent the clip on it, and couldn't get it straitened out so I decided to grind the clip off. I ground it down enough to were I though I could bend it off with a pair of pliers, well I did, but I used too much force and I drove the clip into my left ring finger, it = 3 stitches, but thats not the bad part,. It didn't hurt, but it was pretty open so I had to go get stitches, when I got there they decided to have a rookie try and sow me up, so she gave me the numbing shot, which she didn't do it right so I had complete feeling through the whole process, it was her first attempt at stitches so she was really rough, she kept stabbing me with the needle until I guess she was satisfied I had felt enough pain, then she finished it up.

I've nicked myself with that 303 Matt gave quite a few times already.
