I don't know if you could call me a piglet or whatever. I know that I am lusting after a certain Limited Edition knife that will hopefully be offered onsite in a Bloodbathganza. Buying Busses is a pretty difficult undertaking . First of all you must try to understand all the codes (people here use all kinds of abbreviations). Then there are the hogs who have turned Busse buying into a loosing battle for non-hogs. But I am not giving up. I am going to try and figure out one of the most complex buying systems ever created in the history of mankind. It would be easier participating in an Eskimo auction in Greenland with a suahili speaking auctioneer, but I am going to try and participate in a Ganza and a Bloodbathganza at that. Could some Porkine Palavering translater please tell me how this thing works. I have a couple of specific questions:
1) The Bloodbathganza is supposed to occur on the Blade weekend. Does that mean there will be one onsite scramble to buy on each night of the Blade weekend where the knives not sold at the Blade fair will be sold? Or does it mean that there will be only one online session?
2) This is an online kind of "first come first serve" sale. Right?
3) The Big Hog (Mr. Jerry Busse) will shoot off the proverbial starting gun on this site by giving us a sign a GREEN "go" or something. Could somebody translate?

All I want is to buy my one "dream knife" which seems to be quite an elusive quest. Thanks to any and all hogs, piglets, witch doctors, linguistic PHD's and any one else who can decipher the mysteries of the Busse Creed.

My understanding is it will be the weekend after the Blade Show because the purpose will be to sell left over inventory from Blade.

Hey buddy...I'll try to answer some of your questions.

1. No idea. Jerry will make things more clear as the time comes. I would think that at some point he will post the knives that are availiable with a numbering system so that we can request a knife by number.

2. Right. They take requests in the order that they come in to thier e-mail inbox.

3. Jerry will post a "go" thread here or on the home forum. That's when you send your e-mail. Carefull of fake "go" threads...I'm sure there will be a bunch.

Hope this helps and good luck with getting your deam knife!

A Busse acronym thread is stickied on the top of the forum: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=330784

Jerry hasn't officially given the date or time as to when the Bloodbathaganza will happen. Maybe it'll be this weekend, or maybe next. You have to keep an eye on the Busse forum for updates as to when any Ganza will happen. Jerry will post what is available, and then the prices for the models (usually in a separate thread on the day of the Ganza), and lastly the approximate time he'll post "Go" here or on the Busse Combat home forum. Up until now, Jerry has shown what he is bringing to Blade, which MAY be available at the Bloodbathaganza; depending on what slop is left after the hogs get there.

Ganzas tend to be first-come first-served, it entirely depends on how many models of each type are available. Some are 1-of-a-kind, while in other cases they have many models available. It helps to order multiple varieties to ensure you score something. Jerry is usually pretty up front about if there are limited numbers for some of the models (although never which models specifically).

Jerry will post a thread, likely with the subject "Bladebathaganza Rules and Ordering Procedures". In it, he will post the date and approximate time when he will post "Go". Basically, just keep an eye here for Bladebathaganza posts made by Jerry (and ONLY Jerry).

See Paddling_man's reference on "What is a Ganza": http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3994814&postcount=1

Dont worry about fake GO threads, its just a myth and doesnt really happen. :D

Jerry usually posts a thread showing what is available for the 'ganzaa. You then make your selection and copy both Jerry and Garth in an e-mail or whatever Jerry's pre-ganzaa thread says to do. Then get set up next to your 'puter with a good supply of your choice of beverage. You might be doing well to keep a large bucket or empy gatorade bottle nearby. Once you are set up on the forums and your e-mail is ready to send, start F5'ing like mad until you see the Go! Go! Go! thread posted. Then send your e-mail. You will probably score pretty easily on this 'ganzaa I think.

Yes things are clearing up a bit. With a lotta luck, I might just be able to score. Actually, a lot of what I said in this post was tongue in cheek. I amm actualy quite adept in Busse-nese, but I had some trouble understanding the Ganza concept. Jerry Busse is kind of a marketing genius. Like the auto companies he comes out with a new version of each model about once a year. It's a "Must" for everyone to acquire the new model. Here I am, anxiously waiting for the trough to open at a new "Ganza" ready to kick or elbow anyone who gets in my way. Why? Because I "have" to have a new special edition. See what I mean about smart marketing? Mr. Busse seems to be making some well deserved big bucks with his quality control and ingeniuos marketing and I must congratulate him for realizing every manufacturer's dream which is to have the customers scrambling to buy his products.

Will Jerry's threads and "Go Go Go" be posted here on Bladeforums AND on the Busse website?

Greg - I was trying not to bug you again...but looks like I did anyway!!

Have you read the reports from day 1? Those HOGs are hogging everything. Nothing is even on the tables. The ganzaa's going to be called off. Mark my words, we'll be if there's a Scrapper 6 to speak for when they're done.
