Too bad for you, slows your reaction time.

If I don't have a drink, I'll shoot off my email prematurely. :o :D

Again, this ain't my first time to the county fair. :p

Amy-0's right. I'm constantly emailing her before I should. :D

LOL

But I have to tell you this...If I would have seen a Grey Goose bottle maybe I would have given ya a chance....Ha Ha

Enjoy your evening Guyon and have a few more of those cause I always type faster when I have a couple:thumbup:

Amy, I have a sneaking suspicion that you'd type fast on Benadryl. :D

Oh, and for the record, my Ketel One ran dry the other night. This is some backup vodka that I got duty free and stashed away.

You should always have backup vodka just in case. :p

That martini looks yummy, I think I have the ingredients in the house to make one, if not I always have my Crown Royal and red vermouth for a manhattan (my favourite)! I've also got the Hoegaarden chillin' in the freezer.

Well I am finally back to civilisation (Canada), the first time since Blade. I have a month off before heading back to Peru. I am doing a little work on the house this week, then off to Germany for a wedding next week, I thought I better turn on my computer today and see if I can't score a couple more special editions... looking for an AD, LMS and BATAC SE's.

Good luck all !

I've never like martinis all that much, but I've discovered recently that I do like the salty "olivey" taste of a dirty martini. That one had a healthy dollup of vodka, a splash of dry vermouth, and two tablespoons of olive juice. Shook it with ice and then poured in into the glass with three olives.

Best beer on the planet. My old shipmate/roommate from my Navy days got married in Leuven. Stella Artois and Hoegaarden were the beverages of choice all week. I am always on the lookout for it. There were a couple places I could get it in Pittsburgh, but Idaho.... Blue Moon comes close, but it isn't really an acceptable substitute.

In 2002 I spent three months working in Belgium carrying out a regional gravity survey for the Belgian Geodetic Survey, we literally covered every square kilometre of Belgium on that survey, I personally got to see about 30% of of the country on a 1km x 1km survey grid. It's a beautiful place steeped in history...

The Belgians take their beer very seriously, and most consider it the birthplace of beer... I was told that there are roughly 1200 different brews from around 300 different breweries, some of these breweries (monasteries) date back to the 10th century. Most restaurants have a beer menu with more variety and flavour than their food menu! Hoegaarden was definitely one of my favourites and lucky me, I can get it at the local Brewer's Retail store that is only about 100m from my front door here in Canada... !

Needless to say I loved it there, and if there are any true beer aficionados out there, I highly recommend a beer tour of Belgium, you won’t be disappointed!

Oh, Belgium is definitely on my list! To visit, I mean. Perchance to drink my way through.

Just have to finish this pesky second career first.
