...with MY blood. No pain (sharp, bada$$ knife) other than the wincing bite of realizing my stupidity and how lucky I am. The way the BM was going through the wood, I'm REAL lucky it didn't take my 1st thumb knuckle clean off, just sheared the flesh off just above the meat. There is a nice purple vein just barely covered by the thinest bit of skin. It bled like a mofo! I'm less ignorant now, and will review and observe basic safety procedures. Chalked it up to valuable lesson learned: keep your free hand clear and use control chops/let the blade do the work. Few things will make you feel stoopider than chopping your own damn hand! I took a pic...I may post it later after Christmas. Be careful, dudes! Merry Christmas!

Ouch - that sucker will still have a scab in spring, bro. Nothing like that to make a guy careful.

All I want for Christmas is a nice scab! I never found my skin flap...I think a mockingbird nabbed it. It's probably still there lost in the ground cover slowly becoming man-jerky.:barf:

Damn. That's gonna leave a scar. Sorry that happened to you. But on the bright side, I hear chicks dig scars. ;)

Oooooohh, that's a good one! Hope it doesn't give you too much trouble.

This may be award-worthy. Is this the first flesh-severing blood letting by a FBM since they left the shop?

Merry Christmas! :D
