Blower installation problem

I have been building a forge for the past couple of months, and I just ordered a forge blower from Blacksmiths depot.

I have run into a dilemma, however. I don't know how to attach it to my 1and1/2 blowers. I have seen other forges with flanges that bolt on. I was wondering where I could buy one.

If I didn't make it clear this is where I am having the problem.

I know I probly could just tape it up with some duck tape, but I was trying for the refined look.

How big is the flange on the end of the blower?
I would make or buy a big washer with the same outside diameter, drill the holes to mate up, and weld it to the inlet of my burner. Then you just have to bolt them together.

How about a pipe reducer or grind off some of the end of the union. I use the same burner setup and just slide the blower over the end of the union after grinding off the ridge around the end.:D

Refined look? I'b be more concerned if it works or not. Looking back over the 12 years I've been making I can't think of a burner blower that I didn't use duct tape to make the connection. When I made my first coal forge I used duct tape and a tin can as a reduecer. Pretty don't matter!

Go back to the hardware store, they have a fitting that will let you take a 1 1/4 inch pipe and bolt it to a floor or what ever you need to.Not sure what they call it but I am sure you have seen them holding a pipe hand rail at a fair or somewhere.

Me I just fix it with what ever is around the shop and that includes the use of duct tape allot.gotta make it work somehow :D  :D

That’s because I used your site to make it. :) Thanks a lot for making that available .

Ill probably use the big washer idea that Matt had. It seems like it will be a very strong connection. Thanks for all of your sugestions. :)
