Blowgun hunting

This is a issue brought up from time to time. The long and short of it is that unless you have poison tipped darts its not going to happen. People rather carry a sling shot, gun, Bow and arrow ect.
 
When a friend of mine was a poor grad student he lived in a trailer that had a lot of mouse problems. He got good enough that he could nail them at up to 20 ft. with a 40 cal blowgun. He also took a few squirrels with the so-called "broadhead" darts, which were a thicker wire that was flattened at the tip and sharpened.

On any larger game, I think he would agree that you'd need either poison or a more substantial blowgun to kill reliably.
