Blue #2 vs L6

I've heard so many good things about these steels, and now I'm considering either a Svord Peasant (L6) or a Higonokami (blue #2) as my next purchase.
Now I can't decide which one to get, so I've decided to consult the omniscient knowledge of Bladeforum-ers. ;)

L6:
From what I've seen on videos, this tool steel holds its edge extremely well even under abuse. And in spite of its high hardness, it can easily take a fine edge.

Blue #2:
From what I've read, Blue #2 has the same qualities as L6. Now, Blue #2 is inferior to both Blue Super, and the White steels. However, I can't find Super on a Higonokami. And although White takes an edge better than Blue, I've heard that Blue holds it longer, and I like that.

Soooo. . .L6 or Blue #2?

I think for edc the svord would have a bit better ergos but if you are just buying to test the steel i think either one would work well.

these steels are actually not very similar, and you are probably looking at a 3-5 point difference in hardness in the knives you mention.

I agree, the peasant wold be more comfortable...but a higonokami would make a badass suit knife. ;)

Just get both if you can, neither are too expensive. I have both. Pretty cool but very different in my eyes.

I'm trying to umm "limit my yearly purchases" if you know what I mean. It doesn't matter how much knives cost, in the eyes of my girlfriend, knives that I bought are knives that I spent money on.
LOL this will be my 3rd knife of 2013. . .and it's only January!!! :D
