Blue C101 Manix 2 vs. Blue Sage 3

Both are upcoming and in the new catalog but which one would you choose and why? Pros and Cons?

Both are flat grinds.

Manix 2 has the BD-1 steel and ball bearing lock with a fiberglass translucent handle.

Sage 3 has CPM-S30v steel and the new bolt action lock and a G10 handle.
 
the sage and the manix have similar profiles. the sage is almost like a smaller manix. so i'd go based on the size of the knife. my manix feels a little big in the pocket but the sage does not. However i love the blade size on the manix.
 
I'd choose the Sage3 based on the wire pocket clip alone. I also prefer the ergos on the Sage but that's just me.

Guess what? The new translucent blue Manix 2 will have a wire clip! How cool is that?

My standard answer: Get both!
 
Guess the only big difference are the steels and the handle materials?

Oh and the locking mechanism.

Very cool, I remember sending Sal a PM once to let him know I wouldn't mind if all Spydercos were switched over to wire clips. :D IIRC he said the majority seem to still prefer the flat steel. I wonder if that will change as more and more users get exposed to the wire clip.

I definitely prefer the wire clips. More stealthy. Ride lower. Don't flash as much (at all).
 
Sage because...
I prefer G-10, S30V for better edge holding, and would like to try a new lock, though if you were talking about the Manix 2 in CTS-B75P I'd have to go with the Manix for the more interesting steel and because I already know I like the Manix 2 (already have 2 of them Blue/S30V and Green/CTS-XHP, but don't have a Sage).
 
Sage 3 for me. New lock mechanism, low-riding clip, better steel (IMO) and Cookie monster blue G10. :D
