looks pretty sweet are you able to buff out the thong hole ? I have tons of Micarta but its 1 and 2 inch thick blocks that are 14x14 inches square and I don't think I will be able to cut out a piece and make it work I am not very good at making handles. how do all these custom handles affect the strength of the Sebenza design they can't be at solid at titanium.

I would think that the ti lockbar slab by itself would be stiff enough that any flexion on the part of the synthetic scale would not impact lockup whatsoever. You'd lighten the knife while adding some color and potentially some grippiness (with the textured and sculpted ones I've seen). But that's just a hypothesis.

I'll know as soon as I can get my duck$ in a row and get a few made.

Professor.

ti is obviously stronger. but the knife will fail or the blade will snap before a g10 scale will. its very strong stuff, and when coupled with the ti locking side of the knife, its pretty unbreakable.

this stuff is pretty for sure, but kevlar is a nylon like stuff that is hard to sculpt. im going to nix this stuff, i dont like it. im going to have some made with glass instead of kevlar.

Do you guys that make your own scales buy the stuff already at the right thickness or do you sand it down I think im going to try this and peter I like the blue where can I get this stuff so I can try it.

Thanks

Since you don't like it, feel free to send it my way :)

I think I am going to get some of this. If I do, I will keep it stock thickness, maybe bevel around the edges a bit, and leave the stock finish untouched. Of course, I would have to protect the flat part with masking tape, and be very careful not to mar it. I think it would look awesome on a simple neck knife.
