The cleaver is just under eight inches tip to tip; its drop point companion, just under six.

Inch and a quarter cable along with powdered 1084 steel with nickle added, were combined to make the billets. These are canister welded billets, that were welded in one pressing.

The handles are sycamore and dyed box elder with a single copper spacer.

The copper inlay at the shoulders is 1/4" thick.

The apple is a Fuji, which is my favorite.

Both look great, but I really like that cleaver! The handle shape goes really nicely with the shape of the blade.
 
Very nice! I bought some apples like that yesterday. The local grocery was out of jonagolds (those are my favorite).
