Early this morning I received our new blue Delica in my favorite plain edge. The blue is to me just the right shade, not baby blue, but still fairly light. I was glade to see it has the black clip, to give it a kind of two tone blue/black apperance. This is my first Spyderco with ATS-55, I have confidence in this steel, even though I haven't tried it yet. I figure if Sal & company went with this steel it has to be good. This is the sharpest Spyderco I have seen right out of the box. I gave it my prefered news paper test, it almost shaved it with the weight of the knife, just slight presure needed! I saved my favorite for last. This Syderco has a new feature I was completely unaware of. It has the new egornomic dished out lock release. At first I didn't know what to think of it. Now after useing it all day, I prefer it. There's less effort needed to release, while being more comfortable. This knife will be my off duty EDC, I'm already crazy about it. With the non threatening look of the blue zytel, and Delica size this should be an idea air travel knife. Thanks Sal for makeing such an outstanding knife in my favorite color! RKBA!

Cool! I'm think about getting one of those. I saw a pic of a blue Delica a couple of day ago and I'd have to agree that the color looks just right. Plus, the black clip really does match well.

Very smart looking knife! I think its nice to have a color choice. I think it was a good knife to do it to, not to big and not to small. My only suggestion would be make it in 50/50 blade like the regular one. Wanted to get one for a friend as a birthday present but they aren't made. Oh well he likes his Native.

I'm trying to get a feel for how blue this knife is...

Is it blue like the ladybug, blue like the native, or more of a BM940 blue (sorry for the blasphemy)

If it's like the ladybug, I might pass, but a darker blue would be perty.

Go over to the Syderco web sight. Get off the main page, go to any of the pages that have the little blue spyder in the left hand corner of the screen. That is the same blue to my eyes. Almost, if not lavender blue. Is this the first year they started makeing the knives with the dished, or relieved lock release?

Blue Delica, in two flavors...

I believe so. Many of the lockbacks seem to have the David Boye style cutout this year.

Hi guys. I just got my pink Delica from Armor of New Hampshire yesterday. (Hey Tom, I forgot to show you when I saw you outside Larkins Hall. Sorry!)

Now I want the blue one! (It figures.) First, I'll get the red drone. Then I'll be up for the blue plain edge. My pink one is full serrated, ATS-55 with black clip and no indent on the back lock. BTW, I like the LadyBug blue. The pics above look like a lot darker blue to me. That's still okay.

Now I have a Spydie family:
Old, scarred up Endura daddy, pretty pink Delica mommy, and their sharp offspring, cute little LadyBug.

And they all love to cut bagels at my health club. Maybe all at once. Maybe I'll get sent to the funny farm...
