Saw this beauty floating through the
beach and couldn't resist to save it.
Does anyone knows anything about this
knife? Is it a build out? It came with a
box but it is the wrong one. The knife
has no blood groove. Thanks for viewing.

Haebbie

P. S.: please excuse the bad cell phone pictures.

Whoa... The only thing I know about that one is... I want one! :D

Alex, I suppose this 119 was brewed in Buck witches' build out kitchen.
I don't know which buck wizzard found the recipe for this knife.

Nice score Haebbie...I like the looks of it without the groove...it has nice lines

I believe that knife is a build out of the Virginia Bear Hunter Project. I think the original version had a Bear on the blade so thus the blood groove was left off. I don't have the Va Bear version so I am not absolutely sure but that is what Joe Houser told me when I got my knife like yours. FYI

Thanks a lot!! That is what I assumed.
The Bear Hunter 119 I have has a blood groove.
I like the blue one without the groove more.

Best,
Herbert

I saw that one also....but.....$80 was to high. I wanted to send it to Heath Stone for some green & white handles to match the BCCI 120 with no BG. Any way, I have not seen the no BG bear 119, But, Buck did make a short run 119 to commemorate 911 and it had no BG.....so I think this is the over run from that. Great score Haebbie, I asked the guy to send better photo's of the blade stamp. Because the 119 911 knife had "custom" stamped on the blade.

Thanks

That blue dymondwood looks killer I'd really love to see it more often. I'd like to have a Buck 301 with it.

Yes, whetrock, the blue dymendwood IS a killer!! ;)

I saw that one also....

Thank you, JB, that you decided the score was to high for you and that you let it go
for me. It is a good idea to match the 119 to the 20th anniversary 120. I'll think
about it. Yes, the knife has "custom" stamped on the blade. So it goes stronger that
the blade derives from the 911 memorial series. Anyhow, the knife is a good complement
to my collection. Thank you for the informations.
