Hello All, I got a small Buck Knife Collection the other day and I wanted to share some of my new knives with everyone here.... Here's a Blue Handles 105... I don't know anything about it... I'm sure it's not, a old 105... So if someone can tell me something about it, that would be great... Thanks for your help... Will post more pics next week.... Thanks again, ITE

Armond, Thanks for posting the photo . It may be older than you think but its beyond my knowledge . As it doesn't look like the 105's from 1961 forward . So, I'm thinking before that . Telechrono or HKingdom or Joe H. will have to give you some info. on this one . DM

I was thinking it was made in the 90s or 2004 or so... Looks to good to be a old one... What do I know...

Thanks again,
Armand

That's really something......but what?

Looks like a mid to late fifties knife I've never seen hide nor hair of before. I don't recall any stamped 105.

Looks so new that you'd suspect a really good knifemaker did it as a reproduction of a knife of that era.

Great find, whatever it turns out to be.

Based on the stamping I think you may be correct, but it is still a very nice find and one that anyone here would love to own. Great find.

Armand, BUCK COLLECTOR'S CLUB did a couple of replica lucite knives for the 10th Anniversary celebration. 1988-1998. They had 1/200 and 1/500. One was red with black stripes and the other was also red with blue and white stripes. Both were stamped BUCK with a dot on each side and 105 underneath. The same as yours is stamped. They also had gold etching on the blade. I have not seen a blue one with no etch. Same knife as mine, but different color.

hkingdom is certainly the authority here, and I agree with his assessment. I also have never seen one with a blue handle or unetched blade, so it could be a "build out" from excess parts. Yes, it's a great find and has to be fairly uncommon as well. Ah, to live in San Diego, home of the "Bucks."

Thanks HK . Glad somebody knew about this one .
Tin Sue, You'd trade Bryan, TX. with trees and water for San Diego and Buck knives ?
Just kidding . DM ~:-)

Thanks HK, it came from a ex- buck- employee and I did get a red one too with black stripes on it... I was going to post some pics of that one this week-end... Thanks for all the Info. ITE

No Gold Etching on the Red handle blade either... ....

1/200-Red with Black stripes. 1/500-Red with Blue and White strepes. I will try to post pictures later.

When we did those 105's for the bcci 10th anniversary, I wanted some extra knives that we similar to the 200 but different. I had a bag os sample lucite from our supplier and started putting together handle variations. Wilde Bill Codey finished the knives. I had completely forgotten about that blue one...nice!
We also did 10 in damascus! Or was it 12? Anyway, If I can dig one up, I will post a pic.
Once again Armand...Nice find!!
