blue handled BM 940 ???

Trying to run one down myself. If I can find 2 do you want one of them?
If you do, email me as to blade preference and I'll 'nab' if for you if your serious.
I,m not a 'dealer' but have a decent 'source'. He usually comes through, might take a while might not, but he comes thru most of the time.
I told him to try and find me one about 3 days ago. Nothing yet , so if you want one I'll tell him to try for two.

There is a store here in Ok City that has a stack of them, but depends on what you consider cheap. I gave $136(plus tax) for mine a couple of weeks ago. They have a site: outdooramericastore.com. Sometimes they have sales so you might check it out.

There were only 1000 made for the month of October, so they will be alittle hard to find. They are still out there floating around. Good Luck!!

teacher,
There is no blade preference with a blue 940 as they were made only with satin plain edge.
uncleknife,
Good luck finding one cheap.

I checked out the 942 for the first time, yesterday, and have to say I like it's looks about as much as I do my blue one.

Thanks Owen.......

I knew plain satin was what I wanted, but to tell you the truth I did not know that was the only way it came.

Had not done any research, just wanted a blue one and missed them a while back.
Thanks for the info though, unknown to me that will just make it easier. We'll either find them or not.

PS<> Owen, in the not too distant future John Puckett and I are going to get together and have a "knife meeting". That is shoot the bull and discuss knives an solve all the world problems.

Do you have any interest in something like that?? Let me know if you do.

'Uncle' and 'Woody',
Scott Dog mentioned a dealer in this post that has them. I've dealt w/ him before and got great service. That price is just, while most likely very fair; more than I'm going to pay for one. I don't 'need' it that bad right now. I'll be in touch one way or the other.

Sure. Tique and I had said something about doing that awhile back, but haven't followed up on it (though we're both planning on going to Blade Show). I'm sure conflicting schedules will be the biggest problem.
How convenient that I'm centrally located

The world has problems???

OWEN said, "Sure." teacher said, "GREAT."

Owen mentioned 'Blade Show'. teacher hopes he can find the time away from 'summer work' to go.

Owen 'brags' about being convenientely centrally located. teacher DOES NOT get ****** off about having to drive. He considers it an invitation that OwenM will be the host..............

What is it about the colour blue? I have ordered a plain Delica in the new blue colour. Is it because it makes sheeple think ahhhhh nice? Or is it simply a nice change from black, grey, black, dark grey, dark black, light black, midnight black, charcoal?

Would it work on a Sifu?

Teacher:
Blue handled 940's were Benchmade's October knife of the month (year 2000) and is marked as such. Only 1000 were made. If I were you I would grab one while you can, you might kick yourself later if you don't. It is a pretty knife! Good luck!

Yeah, I know Scott; I already am kicking myself....

The guy I got mine from has an ad over in the exchange forum. He's still quoting $136 but shoot him an offer and see what happens. They are pretty sweet knives.

Benchmade just did another run of 200 blue handled 940's, half serrated and half plain, but both styles are black coated, not plain like the October models.

I have one for sale, plain edge, at $140.00 +$4.50 shipping - subject to prior sale as usual.
