One of my minor obsessions is the Buck Paklite line of knives. I just discovered the blue handled 141. There are a few of them out there, they're easy to find...

If that's not enough of a hint DM me... :)

How sure are you that the blue paklite knives are made by Buck? I have seen quite a few counterfeit paklite knives and for a seller to have 10 brand new blue knives that were made in 2015 seems a little unbelievable.

Not at all sure. Oh, and he has 99 of them!

Upon further review, I think these are legit Buck knives. Does anyone remember if Buck made a run of blue Paklites for NAPA Auto Parts back in 2015? Buck has done several knives over the years for NAPA as giveaways. I have seen a Paklite 140 from 2014 with NAPA Outdoors etched on the blade. NAPA gave away a mini spitfire in 2019 and a bantam in 2018 and they are currently running a promotion for a Buck 112 slim pro TRX.

In looking at the photos from the auction, it looks like the photos were made inside a NAPA auto parts store. There is also an old auction for a blue Paklite 141 that states that the blue Paklite knife was made for NAPA. I guess this seller came across a bunch of the knives that were never sent out and is getting rid of them. Did you buy one dsutton24?

I purchased some blue Paklites DIRECTLY from Buck but yes, there were Chinese counterfits. Just have to be careful of your source.
There was a time some years ago when Buck counterfits were openly sold on Ali Express. The $6.99 INCLUDED postage from China.

I have not seen a blue 141 PakLite but did purchase this 135 directly from Buck.
135BO-B PakLite Caper Build Out. Cat #10492.
Blue powder coat. Web Special purchase August 4th, 2015. Cost $15.
This one is from Penny's kitchen drawer. She does not use it because the handle hurts her hand.
Found the box and there is a sheath somewhere.

I found and checked out the Blue 141 PakLite dsutton24 dsutton24 has brought to our attention.
IMO it is legitimate. I wish the seller had shown the label end of the box.
Compare the marking and texture on my known good 135 to the sellers 141.

I messaged the seller last night and asked him to take a photo of the end with the model number. He replied this morning "I do not have a photo of the model number, but I know it was “0141bls-b”." I know the 0141 is the model number and -b is for box. What does the bls mean? That model number is what lead me to the old auction listing I posted where it does have a photo of the model number. Since that auction mentions a NAPA knife and the photos from the 10 knife listing look like the photos were taken in the North Canton, Ohio NAPA store near where the seller lives, I agree with you that the knife is a real Buck. I have always wanted one of the old Paklite knives. Now I need to decide if I want/need this one.

BL blue
S straight edge (the code would be X if serrated)
Special factory orders will also have a 2 letter code for retailer. For example WM for WalMart etc.
Without that extra code suggests to me the knife was not 'exclusive' to NAPA if that is where it came from.
Also of interest is the 135 was a buildout 'BO' but the 141 was not. Same year, 2015 for both.
I was confident enough to order one for myself.

I bought one last Friday night. After spending four days sitting in the post office in Akron, Ohio, it is finally on its way to me.

I talked with the seller. He works at NAPA and stated that the knives had been at the store "for a good bit" so they are trying to sell them online. He stated that he would talk to the NAPA promotional rep to see if he knows anymore about the knives. While I don't have mine in hand yet, the knives seem legitimate. If you are interested in getting one, you better hurry. They are only 85 left. ;) It just seems weird that this NAPA store has had 100 of these knives since 2015.
