I haven't posted one in a while so I wanted to show that I am still makin' knives. :D

This one is and order and has a 6 1/4-inch blade of 1/4-inch thick hollow-ground W-2 and is about 11 3/4 inches overall. The hamon is pretty interesting, you can kinda see it in the second pic.

The underlay is homemade-dyed rayskin. Thanks for giving a look -- any criticism is more than welcome. :)

Criticism? You have to make a bad knife before you can get Criticism.

Beautiful Job. All your knives are great.

Is there a place where i could learn to do the handle wrap?

great job

Michael, Very nice hamon. Looks like you used clay. Am I correct?

Thank you very much Gents --

Adam -- here is a great place to learn (hard to read though :D ) : http://www.n-p-s.net/tsukamaki01.cgi There is also a great tutorial by Wally Hayes in the latest Blade magazine.

Fred -- Yup, it had some satanite slapped on it. :)

My only experience with rayskin has been with the wrap on the sheaths of my SHIVA KI sheaths on a Cocobolo Spirit blade and a Merc' I ordered from him also.Black rayskin on the Spirit sheath and a dark red wrap on the Merc'.I never thought about getting a rayskin handle, not until Steven Garsson turned me on to Don Fogg.Thanks,Kohai999.

I figured that is what you ment. I'm guessing a leather dye of some kind?

Yup, good ol' fiebings Navy Blue. I used the a swab and the natural (the stiff and rough) rayskin soaked it up nicely.
