Well, maybe not exactly, but I think it would make for a nice EDC with a worn pair of blue jeans. Maybe even a nice pair of faded black jeans as well.

Handle material is G-10: Great material for form and function. Finishes well, with no fabric tear-out when sculpting/shaping. Super strong and super
stiff.

aw i was hoping to see some denim micarta!

Unfortunately, none of the micarta being manufactured has the rigidity need to compliment a framelock. Only thing suitable is either G-10 (<.150 thick) or carbon fiber.

If you ever see someone advertising micarta sebenza scales for sale, run for the hills:D

really? i was under the impression micarta and g10 had fairly similar characteristics, but then again i dont know much, i just love the way micarta feels! a denim micarta sebby would be sexy tho!

Really. You can take a piece of 1/8" micarta in your hands and practically break it by bending it. Whereas, with G-10, you can barely bend it at all. So if you can squeeze hard on a knife handle with a piece of micarta, the lock is going to be compromised. Not safe at all.

oh thanks for letting me know! ive never taken apart any of my knives with g10, they were either passaroudn knives, or ended up being traded off pretty quickly, so ive never had enough time to really inspect a g10. i've always wondered as to how stiff it really is, but i'd assumed its pretty strong bcause its used for scales with no liners.
