Out of all the crown stag of varrious types I have used this one is 180 degrees out of sink from the rest. Its the first one I've run across with the curve going in the oppisite direction. Thats the reason for the Blue Moon title since I don't think I'll find another till next blue moon occurs. I forged out a couple blades last week from my dwindling stash of shear steel and thats what was used on this one. The blade is 4" and its 9" overall. Wrought iron fittings and a Euro crown stag handle.

I like that alot. Gives a really nice flowing line to the entire knife and that hamon is just beautiful.

IG, I spent almost a day getting the nut plus the handle to line up and sit square against the bolster. I must have heated and bent the end of the tang at least 20 times untill everything fit right. I should have taken a picture of the tang. It looked pretty much like an S by the time it was right.

She looks great, to bad you can't get more crowns like that, it realy adds a nice touch.
